Method |
- Multiply one or both of the equations to form an equivalent
system in which the coefficients of the same variable are
alike but have opposite signs.
- Find an equation in one variable by adding the equations
of the system obtained.
- Solve the equation in one variable.
- Replace the value obtained in one of the equations of
the system to find the value of the other.
